Only 39 rows are synced when I hit 'Udpate fusion tables'. I selected a lot more rows and I've updated the range with the script, but nothing has changed. Do you think about a reason for that specific problem? Bye

Re: Introducing ‘foanar,’ like sonar for deals on the go

Looks amazing... When is it getting fired up? I see the app is up for ipad, droid and iphone? How many deals you gonna run? Hundreds? Thousands?

Re: About

I see that your Foanar app is now up for iPhone. It looks like a real beaut. I hope that Madison.com really shoots for the stars with this app. The great thing about 'Deal' technology is that is addresses and possibly solves one of the oldest problems for business owners- excess inventory. In a service industry, like barber shops, fitness studios, etc, it is most acute. As a business owner in that type of industry, it is hard to watch your employees just be idle for any amount of time, considering any extra revenue has no added cost.
Programs like this have the capacity to make many more markets much more liquid than they currently are. I sincerely hope your technology allows for automated, instant deal posting, so that the manager at a hair salon on a tuesday night can see her employees idle and immediately post a 5 dollar deal. This could truly make your app THE marketplace in your area. I should hope to see you posting 500 or even 1,000 deals per day within the next few months, even if the deals are only 5 units apiece. Groupon made the mistake of making their program customer-centric, and not business-centric. What these programs really are...are inventory management devices. Godspeed.

Re: “Tweeting” shop, holding the door open and @andymboyle’s roadshow “journo” revival

Thanks for linking to my post!

Re: Madison.com Sees Record Traffic

Speaking as someone who has been involved with Madison.com for a decade, I second the sentiment of 'extremely gratifying.' This is probably a good time to thank our hosting platform, TownNews.com, for being able to absorb the load of what has been upwards of 5 times our normal daily traffic.

Re: Blog Network tests OpenX hosted solution

Well, that experiment ended quickly. Back to Yahoo! APT.

The hosted version of OpenX leaves a lot to be desired. Right now, I'm getting a huge lag, but I don't know if that's my machine or the code. I'm going to keep typing to see what happens.

Re: Introducing ‘foanar,’ like sonar for deals on the go

Foanar is a mobile phone app that will give you deals offered by local merchants. Think of it as a coupon search engine for your smartphone. You will be able to search for deals by category, merchant or location and view them on a map or a list. When you find a deal you want to use simply go to the merchant location and either give the cashier the pass phrase or have them scan the bar code displayed on your phone. We're hoping to launch initially in the UW-Madison campus area sometime around December 2010.

Re: Introducing ‘foanar,’ like sonar for deals on the go

Foanar is an App that will take your mobile location and provide you with a list of Merchants or Deals they offer in order to help you decide where you want to go for lunch, get your oil changed, have drinks, buy flowers etc...
